Fairly soon after moving to Fort Wayne, Indiana for a new job, some of Brianna’s close friends in the office kept telling her about this guy, Anthony, that they thought would be great for her. Brianna fought them for a while but their persistence ultimately worked and she finally agreed to go out with Anthony and as they say, the rest is history. Over a year later, Anthony proposed while they were hiking in Hocking Hills, Ohio in front of the Upper Falls at Old Man’s Cave.
Soon after, we photographed their engagements in Brianna’s (and my) hometown of Charleston, West Virginia and the two began planning their fabulous wedding to be held at a family farm in Kentucky. However, like many 2020 couples, Brianna and Anthony were forced to make a change of plans with the coronavirus and decided to do a split wedding, postponing their original plans while holding a micro wedding with just their parents and siblings on the original wedding date! They were married where they were engaged with a special and intimate ceremony in the backyard of a beautiful cabin in the woods at the State Park. Brianna and Anthony’s Hocking Hills, Ohio cabin micro wedding was one for the books!
I met Brianna and Anthony as they finished getting ready in separate parts of the cabin early Saturday afternoon. The weather was warm and sunny, perfect for their special day.
When the time came and Brianna was in her dress, ready to go, she met Anthony out back for their first-look! Though I know there were probably onlookers from somewhat afar, the first-look gave the two a moment to relish in the day alone and shake out any nerves before the ceremony. They were married by a close friend with each of their brothers standing at their sides.
After the ceremony, we jumped over to Old Man’s Cave for some fun in front of the Upper Falls at Old Man’s Cave, the spot where Anthony proposed.
And to end the night, back at the cabin, they shared their first dance (to none other than Queen’s “You’re My Best Friend!”), their families made toasts and everyone enjoyed an amazing dinner.
From Indiana to West Virginia to Ohio and ultimately Kentucky, Brianna and Anthony are bringing their love all over the States and I’m so grateful to be along for the ride! Brianna and Anthony’s Hocking Hills, Ohio cabin micro wedding shows us that when you think a little outside of the box, amazing things can happen! Smaller weddings are no less important, significant or special than larger traditional weddings. I am personally loving the micro weddings! Such an awesome and special day! Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Harberg!
