Typically, couples book with us between 9 and 14 months out from their wedding, however, some have booked only 3 months in advance if the date was available. There’s no hard and fast rule of when you need to book but as a general rule of thumb, the further out from the date, the more likely I am to be available. Saturday weddings between May and October (the busiest season in Michigan) receive the most demand. If you’re planning a wedding or elopement outside of Michigan, the earlier the better. For weekday elopements and intimate weddings, availability will be more likely and may require less advance notice.

To reserve your date, all collections, regardless of total package price, require a $2,000 non-refundable booking retainer for any weekend wedding or elopement date ($1,500 for weekday (M-Th) weddings or elopements) to reserve your date. The remaining payments vary based on the collection or custom package chosen. Approximately 40% of the package price will be due 1 month prior to the wedding. The remaining balance will be split into 2 to 3 smaller installments based on works rendered in the months between booking and the final payment. All payments become non-refundable on the day they are due.

You'll receive a hand full of preview images within 2-3 business days of your session or one week of your wedding! After that, engagement sessions are delivered in 3 weeks while weddings and elopements are delivered in 12 weeks. Editing is a huge part of the creative process and while I do my best to turnaround photos as fast as possible, I touch every single image and want to ensure every memory receives the proper attention it deserves. 

Every photo I deliver to you is edited in the style you see across my website and special media. I do some minimal retouching for things that aren’t permanent like, blemishes, bruises, etc.) and occasionally remove distracting objects from the environment. However, I’m not a fan of composites (or adding in backgrounds, sunsets, environments that weren’t actually there) or any body manipulation so you won’t see any of that. I deliver about 10% of the images in a duplicate black and white version as well. 

Yes! For any wedding or elopement photography collection or a la carte package, you'll receive all of the final digital images in .jpg format via an online gallery where you can download all of the images directly to your computer to be backed up for the long haul. I guarantee the online hosting of your gallery for 6 months, but contractually, you are responsible for the long term storage of your photos. You can also share the gallery link with any friends or family that you choose to and they can download them as well. You will have a unique download password that you can choose whether or not to share with others. Basically, the photos are yours and you can either spread them like wild fire or hoard them all to yourselves, it's totally up to you!

Nope! I’ve designed my wedding collections based on event size and location and this includes all taxes and travel costs. The only exception is if you choose to travel outside of the metro Detroit area for your engagement session in which case there may be an additional travel fee for any distances above and beyond 100 miles total. The only other thing to note is that you are responsible for any permit, parking or entrance fees that may be required on the day of the wedding. elopement or engagement session.
