Let’s get this party started! My smallest wedding packages include 6-8 hours of photography and typically covers getting ready snaps through the opening of the dance floor. If you need more time, a second photographer, engagement session, rehearsal photos, it’s an option! Nothing is out of reach.
These days, eloping doesn’t mean running away and getting married without telling others. Instead, we create an intentional day that’s entirely and only about the two of you! I’ll meet you in the mountains of Colorado or the courthouse in downtown Detroit and make sure your elopement is remembered for all of
its intimate moments.
Picture this; you and your partner visiting your favorite spot, sharing some take out, laughing at that time they snorted wine in front of the family…. That’s your next couple photoshoot with me. For couples sessions, engagements and anniversaries, this time is all about the two of you being you.
If you have a vision for your day, I want to make that happen for you. While my packages tend to be the best bang for your buck, I can absolutely put together a custom package for you that mixes and matches the different offerings. If you didn’t hear it yet, I am here to be your number one fan, capturing your story along the way. Fill out that inquiry form and we will hop on a call to chat about your custom asks.
Typically, couples book with me between 9 and 18 months out from their wedding, however, some have booked only 3 months in advance if the date was available. There’s no hard and fast rule of when you need to book but as a general rule of thumb, the further out from the date, the more likely I am to be available. There tends to be the most competition for Saturday weddings between May through October (my busiest season) If you’re planning a wedding or elopement outside of Michigan, the earlier the better. For weekday elopements and intimate weddings, availability will be more likely and may require less advance notice.
To reserve your date, all collections, regardless of total package price, require a $1,200 non-refundable booking retainer for any weekend wedding or elopement date ($800 for weekday (M-F) weddings or elopements) to reserve your date. The remaining payments vary based on the collection or custom package chosen. Approximately 45% of the package price will be due 1 month prior to the wedding. The remaining balance will be split into 2 to 3 smaller installments based on works rendered in the months between booking and the final payment. All payments become non-refundable on the day they are due.
Good question! I don’t count, I just shoot. Thanks to shooting digitally, there’s no limit to how much “film” I have and I carry an excessive number of extra memory cards and batteries. I don’t limit the number of photos I take nor the number of photos I deliver to you. After the wedding day, I remove any test shots, duplicates and outtakes (ie: closed eyes) and deliver the photos that best tell the story of your day. You can expect to receive 60 to 80 photos per hour of coverage. For example, an 8 hour wedding day with 1 photographer typically results in a gallery with about 550 unique images. All images in the final gallery are edited and delivered as high resolution .jpg images.
Contractually, I guarantee your photos in 8 weeks. However, it’s usually much sooner than that (like 3 to 4 weeks). Aside from a few sneak peaks within 48 hours of your wedding, you will see your photos for the first time at the photo reveal party!
Every photo I deliver to you is edited in the style you see across my website and special media. I do some minimal retouching for things that aren’t permanent like, blemishes, bruises, etc.) and occasionally remove distracting objects from the environment. However, I’m not a fan of composites (or adding in backgrounds, sunsets, environments that weren’t actually there) or any body manipulation so you won’t see any of that. I deliver about 10% of the images in a duplicate black and white version as well.
With your photos, you’ll receive the print rights to the images in your gallery. This means you have partial ownership of the photos and can reproduce them (ie: make print copies) as you’d like. All packages include a wall art consultation where I’ll work with you to create the best displays for your photos in your home. However, while I always encourage you to work with a reputable photo print lab, with the print rights, you may have the photos printed wherever you’d like to create prints, canvases, framed prints, etc. You may also share photos with friends and family and post photos to social media.
Unlimited photos means I don’t limit the number of photos I take nor the number of photos I deliver to you via the online gallery. After the wedding day, I remove any test shots, duplicates and outtakes (ie: closed eyes) and deliver the photos that best tell the story of your day to you. You can expect to receive between 80 and 100 photos per hour of coverage. For example, an 8 hour wedding day with 1 photographer typically results in a gallery of about 750 to 800 unique images. All images in the final gallery are edited and delivered as high resolution .jpg images.
Nope! I’ve designed my packages based on event size and location and this includes all taxes and travel costs. The only exception to this is any additional prints, products or albums not included in the collection that are purchased will incur 6% sales tax, per Michigan law. The only other thing to note is that you are responsible for any permit, parking or entrance fees that may be required on the day of the wedding or engagement session.
If you were hiring a mechanic to fix your car, would you provide them with a list of steps to take to fix your car? While I will ask you for lists of family members or “key players” and to let me know about any details in the decor or events that may be unique or sentimental, I won’t need a complete shot list. Family photos, detail shots and must-have timeless photos will all be covered. Because every wedding is different and tells its own story, a shot list can actually be restricting and may mean missing some of the natural and emotional moments that are special and unique to your day! The photos my couples love the most are the photos they could never have planned for; authentic moments that happened with no regard for the camera. And while I love Pinterest, I urge you to only use Pinterest for style and decor inspiration rather than to create a list of “must-have” images. Remember, your wedding is special and unique to YOU, so rather than try to recreate another couple’s wedding, the best photos happen when you live in the moment, don’t sweat the little things, enjoy your day and trust that I will be right by your side to document the beautiful authentic and emotional moments of your day.
