Marisa and Eriks are two of the goofiest, easy-going and fun-loving people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. We had such a nice time for their Rochester Mills Brewery and Stony Creek Metropark winter engagement session. Marisa and Eriks live on the west side of Michigan but chose to come over to the east side for their engagement session, looking for a mix of nature and a way to capture their love of breweries.
Both Latvian, they met working as camp counselors over the summer at Latvian Camp after graduating high school. While they had been in each other’s lives as acquaintances throughout the years prior, they hadn’t really connected until one night at camp. All the counselors got together to party and they instantly hit it off and found out they’d both be attending Michigan State University in the fall. From there, they navigated their relationship through college and beyond and are now planning a waterfront intimate backyard wedding for the end of summer.
As beer lovers, we met at Rochester Mills Beer Co. in downtown Rochester, Michigan where I instantly saw their goofy and care-free sides come out. After a beer and some fries and a quick outfit change, we made the short drive over to Stony Creek Metropark and braved the below freezing temperatures with the help of the warm sun. We enjoyed the frozen, snow covered waterfront before retreating into the trees and playing with snow. Marisa Eriks were up for anything and in a short time, we capture so many fun moments.
If their Rochester Mills Brewery and Stony Creek Metropark winter engagement session is any sign of how fun their wedding will be, we’re in for a good one. Also planning an intimate backyard wedding later in the year, check out Megan and Aaron’s engagement session at Nichols Arboretum in Ann Arbor.
