Angel and Blake’s golden hour backyard engagement session at sunrise was everything a photographer could hope for. The weather was perfect and with clear skies, we got the most perfect golden hour which gave Angel and Blakes photos the dreamy, glowy warm feeling we all know and love. Golden hour is the one to two hours before sunset and after sunrise. During these times, on a sunny day, you’ll have the best chance of getting a beautiful orange glowing light.
For Angel and Blake, they used a family member’s huge backyard (which is acres of land featuring fields, woods, a pond so more of a property than backyard I suppose. They brought their dog along and we spent just under two hours exploring the property with Taylor Swift setting the mood on the portable speaker. It was perfect. And you better believe I nearly feel over when we got to the field right when the sun was hitting just right. The orange and red hues of the high grass make their golden hour field engagement photos some of my favorites to date.

And as if their engagement session weather and light wasn’t perfect enough, check out their summer wedding at Waldenwoods Resort and Conference Center in Howell, Michigan for another magical day of sunlight.
