Brittany and Eric’s July waterfront wedding at MacRay Harbor was a day full of sun (literally), laughs, and some major tearing up of the dance floor. Brittany and Eric met while in grad school at Wagner College in New York, and since then, they’ve lived in Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. When I first chatted with the two, we bonded over our Michigan-Maryland ties! Eric is from Maryland while Brittany’s from Michigan and I also have both Maryland and Michigan in my story too!
While they were originally supposed to be married in 2020, the pandemic forced them to postpone their plans. So one year later, when the day finally came, everyone (and I mean everyone) was beyond excited to finally see these two get married.
I started the morning with Brittany and her bridesmaids while they got ready in her childhood home. Meanwhile, my 2nd photographer hung out with Eric and his groomsmen at a nearby hotel.
Once everyone was ready, we set up their first look at Heritage Gardens! It was so sweet. Eric helped put on the necklace he had given Brittany earlier that morning as a wedding gift. Brittany pointed out the back of the watch she got Eric that she had engraved with their original wedding date. After their first look, Brittany and Eric’s wedding party joined us for photos at Heritage Gardens. Then, we migrated over to MacRay Harbor for a few more along the water.
Finally, it was time for their ceremony which was right along the water and full of laughter, some tears (of the best kind), and a lot of excitement from their friends and family. After they said “I do,” their reception was a straight-up banger. Eric and his friends, many of whom were his college football teammates, and Brittany and her college gymnastics team and friends, spent the rest of the night breaking a sweat on the dance floor.
Brittany and Eric’s summer waterfront wedding at MacRay Harbor was one of those weddings whereas a photographer, you start to wonder what you missed because everything went so smoothly, ran on time, the weather was perfect and everyone had the time of their lives.
Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Franklin!
