Rachel and Noah planned a cheerful green and yellow Ann Arbor, Michigan wedding at the Stonebridge Golf Club.
The two met 4 years ago while working at the University of Michigan in a Medical Sciences lab and over time, spending their breaks at work together grew into much more. As Rachel says, “many things have happened over the past four years and our love and support for each other is about the only thing that has remained constant. Through rough times, and great times, we always make sure to cherish each moment with each other and have found ways to celebrate and mesh together our different upbringings.”
After their first year dating, Rachel and Noah adopted their pride and joy – their dog McQueen – and love to walk and play frisbee with him. While playing fetch with McQueen one day, Noah swapped out the frisbee while Rachel wasn’t paying attention so McQueen then brought her a frisbee that said “Will you marry me?” and of course she said yes!
When I arrived at Stonebridge Golf Club, I met Rachel and her two bridesmaids in the club’s bridal suite as she got ready. Before the ceremony, Rachel and her dad shared a tender moment during their first-look together. Meanwhile, once ready, Noah arrived at the venue and I met up with him as he read a letter from Rachel.
Married by a mentor and friend of Rachel’s as she earned her Phd from the University of Michigan, their ceremony was a beautiful blend of science and faith. And of course, their dog McQueen accompanied them down the aisle!
After the ceremony, we took photos of the family, wedding party and of course, Rachel and Noah, at nearby locations on the golf course.
Rachel and Noah made their grand entrance to their reception and immediately cut their amazing yellow and green wedding cake with what to me, looks like stained glass, from the amazing Sweet Heather Anne. My favorite touch was the little painting of McQueen on the back of their cake! It was a sweet surprise for Rachel and Noah as they cut the cake. After dinner and some dancing, while they sipped on some slurpies as a late night snack, we snuck back out for a few more photos at twilight, red tongues and all. Rachel and Noah ended the night with a sparkler exit with all of their guests! It was an amazing and fun photo op to round off the evening.
Congratulations to Rachel and Noah! Their green and yellow Ann Arbor, Michigan wedding at Stonebridge Golf Club may have been a hot one but it was a fun one and I had a great time capturing their day. Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs!
