Bridal Details Wedding Day Checklist
To make sure you don’t forget any details or accessories you want photographed on the wedding day, here is a bridal details wedding day checklist! The accessories, jewelry and details of the couple on the wedding day might just be my favorite part of the wedding day to photograph. It’s a chance to be creative for photographers but it’s also such a fun and sentimental piece to the day for you! You’ll likely spend a good amount of time, thought and sentiment in choosing what accessories and details you’ll wear and use on the wedding day, yet most of your guests won’t see some of these details or understand their significance to you. For these reasons and more, being prepared and having all of your details ready to go for your photographer is key!
But with so many moving pieces to a wedding day, it’s easy to forget some of the details! So to help keep you sane in your wedding planning, below is a bridal details wedding day checklist. You may have more, less, or different details altogether but these are some of the common details couples will have on their wedding day that should be in the bridal suite:
1. Rings
Make sure you have your rings with you including your engagement ring and both you and your partner’s wedding bands! This way I can get rings shot out of the way in the morning and then once you’ve said “I do,” there’s no reason for those rings to leave your fingers. Consider also getting a nice ring box you love! This can make for a fun personalized touch in your photos too!

2. Invitation Suite
This one is probably the most often forgotten detail since you’re not actually wearing it or displaying it in any way on your wedding day. Be sure to bring an extra set of your paper suite (save the dates, invitations, envelopes, etc.) with the rest of your details.
3. Hanger
Imagine photographing your beautiful, expensive dress that you spent hours choosing on a boring plastic hanger… Bring a nice hanger to hang your dress with. Even just a simple wooden hanger is perfect.

4. Perfume & Lipstick
While not the most important persay, these details are often overlooked. Yet, you probably spent a bit of time choosing which lipstick to wear or maybe splurged on a special scent for your big day! In my opinion, that makes them worth having photographed and they help to tell the story of your wedding day.
5. Jewelry.
Necklaces. Earrings. Bracelets. Brooches. Pins. Hairpieces. Bring it all. Be sure to put it all together in a box in your suite or wherever you’re getting ready to be photographed while you’re finishing up with hair and makeup!
6. Shoes
I’m guessing you’re really excited about the shoes you’ve picked out yet they’re barely seen by guests under the dress so be sure to get beautiful photos of your shoes with your other accessories.
7. Bouquet
Try to coordinate deliveries with your florist so you have all of the bouquets for you and your tribe together with you while you’re getting ready. If you can’t store them in water vases of some sort, wrap wet paper towels around the stems to keep them fresh. This is the best time of the day to photograph them since they’ll be fresh from the florist, unexposed to heat and mostly untouched. This way, you’ll also have the bouquets ready to go for whatever is next, whether it’s your ceremony or photos.
8. Letters or Notes, Gifts, and Keepsakes
If you and your partner wrote any notes to one another or exchanged gifts prior to getting ready, bring them! Or, if you plan on exchanging them later in the day, bring the letter you’ve written and/or the gift you’re planning to give with you (and have your partner do the same) to be photographed. Lastly, be sure to have any special keepsakes or mementos from the day you want documented with you! This is the perfect time to get your grandma’s handkerchief or your something blue documented.
And hopefully this goes without saying, but don’t forget your dress and veil! Many brides opting for some tradition will also incorporate something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. Again, your list may look different but this bridal details wedding day checklist is a great place to start. You’ll want to have all of these details packed up together in one bag or box so that when your photographer arrives, they can get straight to work photographing your details rather than going on a goose chase around the room looking for everything. This will save everyone time and ensure the best photos of your details.
